‘The Party Diva’ has provided this account of our policies and terms of service. Please read and agree to our policies before booking the party. Please ask for clarification if there are any questions regarding the above policies before reserving your party.

Q. How do I reserve a party?

A. Please call or e-mail us to check availability for your party. Once you have chosen a party date and time, we will hold your reservation for 5 days to give you time to book a venue (if applicable) and post us your £50 deposit. We also accept credit and debit cards through our website. Please note we cannot guarantee your party date longer than 5 days without this deposit.

Your deposit will secure your reservation and we will immediate send you a booking confirmation along with our complimentary party invitations and envelopes. The balance of the party is due the day of the party. We accept cash, cheques, debit cards and credit cards through Paypal. Please make cheques payable to ‘Samantha Cook’. Paypal is made payable to: Samantha@thepartydiva.co.uk (back to questions)

Q. Where are your parties located?

A. The Party Diva parties are brought to your home, church hall, village hall, etc. You choose the location and we come to you. Based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire we are currently able to offer parties in Gloucestershire, Avon, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. (back to questions)

Q. Is there a minimum attendance charged?

A. Fully hosted parties – 4 minimum / Diva Kidz – priced on a minimum of 20 children. (back to questions)

Q. What happens if guests arrive late?

A. Please advise all guests that the party will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Because our parties are carefully planned, they work best when all guests arrive on time. Those guests who are late may join the party at whatever point it has progressed. (back to questions)

Q. When do you need the final R.S.V.P. count?

A. You will need to contact us at least 5 days prior to your party to review the R.S.V.P.s received, and to determine the exact final number of guests. This will be the number we use to plan for your party and, similarly, you will be charged accordingly on this final guest number. Some guests may not attend the party, even if they R.S.V.P. Please remember that we charge according to the final guest count provided prior to the party, not the number of children who attend on the day. (back to questions)

Q. What happens if I have to cancel my party?

A. If you choose to cancel our services for any reason, your deposit is non-refundable. However, we will gladly work with you to find an
alternative party date, based on availability. Should it be necessary to re-send invitations, there will be an additional charge.

We pride ourselves on the most reliable service. However, in the case of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances/illness should we have to cancel, we offer you the option of re-scheduling or refund of your deposit. (back to questions)

Q. What should the children wear to the full dressing up parties?

A. Boys may put on costumes over their clothes. Most girls are happy to get changed and put the dresses on over their underwear, especially as many of our parties are ‘girls only’. If a girl is shy, or parent would prefer, we suggest they come along to the party wearing a swimsuit or a leotard under their day clothes. (back to questions)

Q. As a client, what are my obligations?

A. If ordering our table setting, please ensure that a suitable table and chairs are available and set up in order that we may lay the party table with linen and china immediately upon our arrival.

For other parties, please provide at least two tables for make-up, nail varnish etc. Please provide safe, clean areas for the other activities. We do not need separate tables for crafts (with the exception of our ‘Crazy for Crafts’ party theme).

Please remain at the party at all times. If a guest becomes ill, becomes disruptive or does not want to participate, they will have to be attended to by you or a helper. The party hosts are responsible for the flow of the party and engaging the children in constant activity. We will then be able to continue with the party for the enjoyment of all the other guests. (back to questions)

Q. What about boys at your Girls Only parties?
A. Please enquire at time of booking. Some of our themed parties designed for girls regularly include boys. Others are best if girls only attend. (back to questions)

Q. What about siblings and other unexpected guests?

A. Please note the party packages cover only the planned guests. Please include  any siblings in the final guest count if you would like for them to participate  in the party activities. Siblings of guests are welcome to stay with proper parental supervision. Under 3’s are to be supervised by a parent at all times. (back to questions)

Q. Can I have the party outdoors?

A. Outdoors is fine, but you must have an indoor back up plan for weather. If the  weather is nice, you may take the party outdoors to a clean area such as deck, dry lawn or patio. Everyone will wear their own shoes as opposed to our dressing-up shoes. The children will not be permitted on wet grass, dirty or muddy areas while in costumes. We reserve the right to determine if the outdoor area is suitable for our equipment and costumes. (back to questions)

Q. What about allergies?

A. The Party Diva is not responsible for allergic reactions resulting from the wearing of costumes or cosmetics, etc. It is the responsibility of the
client to inform us in advance. Please check with guest’s parents prior to the party. (back to questions)

Q. Oops! What about spills, breakages and tears?

A. Not to worry. Children are very careful with the china and dresses. We want your child and party guests to relax and enjoy wearing the costumes
and using the china. If an accident/s happens we deal with it quickly, with minimum fuss and no cost to you. (back to questions)

Q. Other liabilities?

A. The Party Diva assumes no responsibility or liability for accidents, allergies, injuries to party guests or damage to property. As party
professionals, we can assure you will provide a safe and entertaining environment for your guests, and will treat your home with utmost respect. (back to questions)

Q. Food and drinks

A. For the purposes of maintaining the highest quality of our costumes, we kindly ask that any food or beverages to be served to the children whilst in costume be considered beforehand. If the table setting is hired, we allow the children to eat whilst in costume.

As a mum too, we are sure you know which food stains are impossible to remove from clothing. They are predominantly the ‘red’ foods. However, as a guide, please refer to notes below:

Prohibited foods and drink include: Tomato Ketchup, Coca Cola, Pure Fruit Juice, Jam, Jelly, Strawberries and Berries, Red Pepper, Milkshakes, Chocolate Fountains, Pizza, Tomatoes and Ice-cream.

Suggested items include: Sandwiches, Pastries, Meats, Cheeses, Sausages, Chocolate, Cakes, Biscuits, Salad, Lemonade, Ribena and Squashes, Clear Liquids, Milk and Fruit (such as grapes, apples and melon).

We reserve the right to refuse certain food items that may damage our costumes. Please let us know beforehand which food items you would like to serve if in any doubt. (back to questions)

Q.Price changes

A. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time prior to booking without notice. (back to questions)

Q. How do I pay for party bags?

A. If we are hosting your party, we are happy to accept payment on party day. We will, of course, bring them along with us. Alternatively, you may purchase on Ebay (without incurring postage charges) and, similarly, we will bring them along on the day.

B. If we are not hosting your party, then our website will direct you to our Ebay Shop. Full details of all our party bags are listed there with full postage costs. Our Shop accepts Paypal, cheque, credit and debit cards for your convenience. (back to questions)
